Reuniting With My Maestro
written at Saturday, July 11, 2009

I was eyeing a nice full mahogany guitar this morning, it was a popular auction so there were a lot of people bidding for it. I spent over a week researching and finding out more about this particular guitar. However, on the day of the bidding which was this morning I lost the bid! Like most auctions for popular items, a couple of crazy dudes will come along and slap a high bid price on the item. The seller is probably grinning to himself as he watches the bids soar way above his expectations.

So I was discussing with my parents of the likely possibility that my Maestro be brought back to New Zealand when my dad visits Singapore in September, I think it's the best idea seeing that most of the guitars here in New Zealand are way too overpriced and there isn't a lot of variety as there is in Singapore.

We need to figure out a way to transport the guitar here, I personally do not trust airline services handling my guitar when it is checked in especially with a semi-hard case that my maestro is currently cuddled comfortably in. I seek advice of all you seasoned guitarists who have brought their babies overseas in the past.

But the main thing is, I'll do anything to get my baby back to New Zealand with me! It's about time I had some practices with it!
