You Are A Mystery
written at Monday, November 2, 2009

Was reading through a friend's blog and came across this, forgive me if this is copyright, I think this post is extremely relevant for all of us.

"How are you today? Are you watching over us, tonight? What did you do today? Are you ever bored of us, watching our idyllic movements on earth, always dreaming but never achieving? Did you see us when we nearly reached the sky? Why did you bring that tower down? We only wanted to talk to you. Dear God, is our company ever sufficient for you? I'm sorry if I bore you with all my prayers, if our multitude of voices can never match up to the wisdom you have. How do you have any proper conversations, Lord, when we are so blind and so deaf? And yet we speak with our hearts. What is one day in your courts like? Is it truly better than one thousand days on earth? I want to know. Tell me. I want to know. I have so many questions. Describe to me what home is like, so that I may look forward to it. Are you ever disappointed by us? Are you ever sad, like us? If you're ever sad, I'm here, Lord. I want to listen. Please talk to me."

Your dominion is over all dominion on earth, Your Kingdom is above all kingdoms. How unfathomable Your ways, How Glorious You are! With all these questions nudging us on the side, who are we to doubt, who are we to question? You are a mystery O Lord, we cannot comprehend certain things with our small minds, but we know that whatever You do, You do it from an eternal perspective. With all the uncertainties, with all the unknowns, the gaping voids in our minds, desperately trying to piece the puzzle together, You are still God. You will never change. The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God is Jacob, You are our God.

Romans 11:33-36
Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who became His counselor? Or who has first given to Him that it might be paid back to Him again? For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.
