GoogleGod Retreat

Just came back from GoogleGod retreat. For those of you who have no idea what GoogleGod is, it is the result of a merger between a few small groups from the Wesley Youth Ministry, particularly God's Amazing Youths, Mad Victory and Sensibles. I only knew about the merger when I was in New Zealand studying, but I am indeed very glad because this means a new phase in life for all of us! We are the oldest of the lot in the Youth Ministry, it is time that we started to settle and transit to the main church, transiting can be a challenging thing, the guys are finishing off their National Service, the girls are in University and a couple of us are starting University or currently studying at University. All these transitions would prove a challenge, not just emotionally and mentally, but spiritually as well.
Thanks Keith and your family for opening up your home for us! You guys have always been so generous! :D
It was fun, I met many many new friends at this retreat, it's exciting really. Had a time of worship and sharing together. Joyce penned out the plans and the administrative details of the group. She shared the verse below, which I felt was very fitting, especially since many of us will be facing the working sector in the very very near future. It isn't too far away at all.
I pray that GoogleGod will be united together in fellowship, worship and having a common vision for the group and each other in our walk with the Lord. It's very easy to be comfortable where we are. But come on, is this what the world is like outside? It can be hostile, uncertain, confusing and hard at times. I pray that this small group will be that shelter that God has grown so that we may pray and encourage each other along, also getting deeper in His Word and being transformed by it.
Philippians 2:14-18
Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing. But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service coming from your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you. So you too should be glad and rejoice with me.
To the lasting friendships that will be formed, to the God who unites His people together.

What matters supremely, therefore, is not
in the last analysis, the fact that I know God,
but the larger fact which underlies it --
the fact that He knows me.
