Freely Receive, Freely Give
written at Thursday, March 18, 2010
Had the first small group meeting today at my place, praise the Lord! The meeting was light-hearted, comfortable and it is such a great start! Today at the facilitator meeting, Geoff was talking about the importance of the outward looking small group, as we are being fed with His word, what are we going to do about it? Are we just going to keep it to ourselves?
So it shed new light on what it means to be a son and a daughter in God's kingdom, to co-labour with Christ, in our places, in this context, University. I believe God is teaching me how to be more socially aware, socially concious about what's happening around me, and also being aware of how blessed I am. Essentially summing up in one phrase, it will be, "Free that I have received, Freely I shall give."

Knowing
What matters supremely, therefore, is not
in the last analysis, the fact that I know God,
but the larger fact which underlies it --
the fact that He knows me.
