God's View Of Masculinity
written at Tuesday, May 26, 2009

I am currently reading a book called "God's Gift To Women - Discovering the lost greatness to Masculinity". No this book isn't one to boost the man-ego and pride, it may shatter it. It is a book which teaches us God's view of Masculinity.

I would recommend this book to all the gym fellowship dudes and the Kelong boys!

This book aims to help the reader encounter entirely brand new principles of living as a Christian man. It will help you grow toward a masculinity that isn't self-serving and rude but is strong and thoughtful - the masculinity that is "God's Gift to Women." Pride and selfishness are two sin patterns often tolerated in the name of "masculinity," and actually have nothing to do with how God created men to be.

God created us to be "Warrior poets" - strong, persevering fighters in times of conflict and struggle, but also tender and servant-like in our relationships with the important one in our lives (not just our wife, but also sisters and mothers,) and to some extent with everyone around us. So this book has come great application stuff, that we can start to take action on even before our wedding day.

"Manhood will never change through grit and hard work. It won't better itself through reading and study. It will only become the triumph that God designing it to be by coming under the rulership of its Creator and walking in the footsteps of the heroic Lamb of God. Manhood doesn't need a key; it needs its King."

I will gladly share with you guys what I've learnt from this book, do approach me if you're curious! Cheers :)
