Deloitte Open Case Competition Practice Session

I find management consulting very interesting, these are one of the times where you can test your mantle, standing in front of a panel of judges an the audience to deliver a presentation on ways to improve a particular company. Spent 3 hours analying the UK supermarket chain Tesco. After which we had to give a presentation on which direction the company should be moving towards.
It was just a practice session today as well as our first time so we didn't really have a lot to lose. There I was standing infront adding fluff and business jargon to the mix to make up for the lack of substance in the strategy portion (we only had 3 hours come on). The Q&A cession was probably the most challenging, we had to really know the case to answer those. Even if we didn't know, we just had to devise ways to make things flow nicely to make it seem we knew that aspect really well haha...
All in all it was a great experience, looking forward to the real thing this Friday. Time to wear that business suit and get cracking with the team! By the way our team name is, "We Pwn You 2009." Enough of those lame and boring team names.
